Uganda Dreams Tracking System (UDTS) is a web based system used for collecting DREAMS data for the girls enrolled into the DREAMS program in Uganda. The UDTS is based on DHIS2 and it leverages the tracker module to capture girls’ information during the different DREAMS interventions. Data in UDTS is captured using: 1. Web-based () platform 2. DHIS2 mobile tracker app
In Uganda, Implementing Partners (IPs) are assigned districts/sub counties were they are responsible for collecting the DREAMS data and submitting it into UDTS. The information saved in the database is about girls who receive Dreams services. It includes some of their personal information (i.e. name, dreams unique number, etc.), services provided for the different dreams innervations.
UDTS has rich data analysis tools (event reports, event visualizer, GIS, pivot tables and dashboards) to present data for top-level managers. This makes it easy to monitor the different DREAMS interventions. UDTS facilitates off-line data entry and this makes it an ideal solution to be used in remote areas faced with internet challenges
. 1.2 System Components
The user’s manual consists of five (5) sections: • General Information: - • System summary • Getting started • Using the system • Reporting
General Information section explains in general terms the system and the purpose for which is intended System Summary section provides a general overview of the system, The summary outlines the uses of the systems configuration, user access levels and system’s behaviors in case of any contingencies Get Started section explains how to use the UDTS to register a girl and start to render the different DREAMS services. This section outlines the detailed description of the system functions Reporting section describes in what way the DREAMS data can be presented and analyzed.
The system is managed centrally by the METS informatics team. All queries on UDTS should be submitted to dreams-ug@googlegroups.com 1.4 Acronyms and Abbreviations
